Privacy

No cookies, no analytics, no accounts, no trackers. The only thing this site keeps that came from you is the text of a search that found nothing — stored so we know what to cover next, with nothing attached that could point back at you.

01

No cookies, no tracking

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, embeds no advertising or social scripts, and stores nothing in your browser. There are no accounts and no sign-in, so there is no profile of you to build.

That is why you are not being asked to accept anything. There is nothing to accept.

02

Server logs

Like any website, the hosting and content-delivery layers that serve these pages record ordinary request information — IP address, timestamp, the URL requested, browser user agent — for security and to keep the service running. These logs are not used to identify individuals, are not combined with anything else, and are retained only for a short period by the providers that generate them.

03

Searches that found nothing

When you search for a fragrance the site does not yet cover, the text of that search is stored so we know what to add next. That is the only thing you type that is kept.

It is stored as the search text alone, with no identifier of any kind attached — no IP address, no session, no cookie — so a stored search cannot be linked back to you. Please do not type personal information into the search box; it is a fragrance search, and anything else in it is kept by accident rather than by design.

04

Reddit usernames

The site is built from public Reddit discussion, and the underlying dataset records which account made a comment so that claims can be counted per person rather than per post. No username is ever published. Pages show how many separate people made a claim, never who they were. If you commented on Reddit and want your words removed from this site, see trademarks & takedowns.

05

Where the data goes

Nowhere. Nothing collected here is sold, rented, shared for advertising, or handed to any third party except the hosting providers that operate the servers, and only insofar as running a website requires it.

06

Your rights, and contact

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you. Given the above there is unlikely to be any, but ask and we will look: legal@dupology.org. This page will be updated if what the site collects ever changes, and the date above says when it last did.
